The Rotary Club of Ely is pleased to support Isle Target Sports Club in widening access to target sports for a young person from a state school.
Specialist sports can involve equipment, coaching and facility costs that place them beyond the reach of many families. This support will give a young pupil the opportunity to receive instruction, learn in a safe and structured environment, and experience a sport they might not otherwise have been able to try.
Taking part in a new discipline can help a young person develop concentration, patience, confidence and personal responsibility. It can also introduce them to a welcoming club community and a positive activity beyond school.
By supporting this opportunity, Ely Rotary is helping remove a financial barrier and making participation in local sport more inclusive.
